I am a research associate at AEI Hannover, working on gravitational-wave astrophysics, numerical relativity, and multi-messenger observations of compact binaries.

Upcoming

  • Lectures on gravitational wave astrophysics in Queen Mary University of London, UK

In the news

  • My work on modeling gravitational wave sources helps the LIGO–Virgo–KAGRA Collaboration extract precise physics from signals, including those in the largest gravitational wave catalog till date. (Astronews)
  • Our work showing how gravitational wave detectors could probe ultralight dark matter around spinning black holes was featured on Phys.org.

Research

Modeling strong gravity and gravitational-wave signals

My work uses Einstein’s theory of gravity, numerical simulations, and data analysis to study compact objects and the gravitational waves they emit. I am especially interested in how gravitational waves offer a new way to probe dark matter and explore parts of the universe that cannot be seen with light alone.
